| 内容記述 | This article presents a Japanese translation of chapter 1 from volume 3 of Mercurialis’ “De Arte Gymnastic,” accompanied by annotations. It marks the initial endeavor to render this text into Japanese. The translation is grounded on a revised edition and consulted Nutton’s English translation from the same edition as necessary. Citation: Mercurialis (2008) De arte gymnastica, edizione critica a cura di Pennuto, English translation by Nutton. Leo S. Olschki. The paper illuminates that Mercurialis not only introduced the “De Arte Gymnastica” within the ancient Greek and Roman classics but also actively structured it in his distinctive manner. |
