For this study, data was collected using the semi-structured interview method, and analyzed using the Grounded Theory Approach. Here, the researchers found 7 categories: “Athletic experience as potential research themes”, “Going into a master course as a means to re-attempt teacher recruitment examination”, “Writing a master thesis”, “Going into a doctorate course as an alternative to other careers”, “Writing a doctorate thesis”, “Educator who works at a college or\nuniversity as a sports science expert” and “Transformation of identity”. As a result, the following points were clarified: 1) The idea that sport and science are two different things needs to be changed. 2) For former college athletes who have difficulty in transitioning into a career, long-term support is required. 3) It is an important task to consider concrete policies to support college athletes who aim for a career transition to researcher as a sports science expert.}, pages = {35--50}, title = {東京箱根間往復大学駅伝競走出場競技者のキャリア形成に関する事例研究 ─ スポーツを学問の対象としていくプロセス ─}, year = {2018} }
